National Summer Event

The Bridge Chapel

The challenge of 2023!

This year the pilgrim summer event will be using 2 houses in the centre of Derby instead of staying in a Church or village hall.

Last year we were in the Derbyshire Peak District but southern Derbyshire is very different with a gentler, rolling and very varied landscape and the area has much to offer.

Derby is in the centre of England with good road and rail links in every direction.

Although a small industrial city (famed for Rolls Royce and Railway Engineering) Derby is also an ancient site with Roman remains, Saxon saints, a Mediaeval Bridge chapel, an 18th century Cathedral and the first arboretum in the country. And indeed good museums should the weather be atrocious!
