British National Event . . . at Craven Arms near Ludlow
June 26 – July 3, 2025.

Building on the success of our ‘new style’ Pilgrimage week in Dorset in 2024 we have booked a converted barn in Shropshire for our 2025 event.
The property is a couple of miles outside Craven Arms, so easy to get to and well located for exploration of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape and north Herefordshire. This is our only National event in 2025.
The barn offers bed (full bedding provided) accommodation for 11 people, camp-beds (using own sleeping bag) for 3, and 1 on the floor, with a maximum capacity of 15 people (which we cannot exceed).
If you must have a bed please make that clear on your booking form.
The normal Pilgrim lifestyle of daily worship and discussion time, a daily walk (based upon ability), shared cooking and meals eaten together will give a structure to our week.
If you are not able to join us for the whole week, please do book for part of it … it will be good to see you, even if only for a day or two. With our Thursday to Thursday booking a weekend visit will be possible …
Craven Arms is a station on the line which links Manchester and North Wales, through Crewe and Shrewsbury, with Hereford and South Wales. The town also has an hourly bus service linking Shrewsbury with Ludlow.
If you plan to join us on Thursday 26th June please do not arrive before 4 p.m. Our first meal will be about 7.30 p.m. If you are arriving by public transport a lift from Craven Arms station can be arranged. If you will be leaving on Thursday 3rd July please arrange to have left by 10.00 a.m.
If you are coming for part of the week please make that clear on your booking form by saying which will be your first meal and which will be your last.
As places are limited it is important that we know when members plan to come and go, so that, for example, a member who is leaving early might ‘hot place’ with someone who is arriving later in the week.
As places have to be capped at 15 it is important that you send in a booking form as soon as possible and not later than Monday 31st March … places will be allocated on a first come basis and booking will close on 31st March. If you expect to join us but have concerns that health or other issues may stop you at the last minute, it is important that you book early … it is easier to handle cancellations than try to fit people in at the last minute. If all the places are allocated when you send in your form you will be told that you are on a waiting list. You can download the booking form below.
The cost will be £20.00 per day, making £140.00 for the whole week. For those whose only income is a basic state benefit, or who are a full time student, the cost is £15.00 per day, £95.00 for the whole week.
Please join us if you can – it will be great to see you in 2025.
If you have any questions please contact me.

See you in Shropshire,
